Take a breath

Take a breath

2017

Materials: Buoys, hosepipe, metal

The project consists of two interconnected buoy fenders that can be used as seating. When using the buoys, they communicate through the space and provide a temporary seating area. As air slowly flows out into the second fender, a new seating opportunity is created on the other side of the room. Once the air has transferred to the other buoy fender, you are encouraged to stand up and start moving again. Extended seating is only possible for two people, as this leads to an equalization of air. The seating options breathe together, inviting interaction and a brief pause for breath.
