Design processes are increasingly digitized, which pushes traditional crafts and material aspects into the background. In this project it was consciously worked with pen, paper and hands to counteract this and learn the basics of creating ceramics. Through free form studies and material and surface experiments, the material was explored in order to design a bowl. The design of “don’t lose the thread” is characterized by folds, turns and branches that seem like something organic. The bowl was made by hand using a manual extruder from several layers placed on top of each other.
